Musculoskeletal Disorders and Related Factors in Agriculture Asadabad City in 1394

Background & aim: Agriculture is one of the most extensive and most dangerous work activities that are improper body postures. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders and its associated factors among farmers was conducted in 94 Asadabad city.

Methods: This descriptive analytical cross-sectional study on 378 male farmers farming areas Asadabad city Hamadan. The data collected in this study was that the Nordic standard questionnaire in person trained by questions about statistical analysis has been completed.

Results: The prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders in agriculture in parts of neck 6.9%, shoulders 6.6%, elbows 1.1%, wrists 4.5%, the 6.1%, back 19%, hips and thighs 10.1% knee 2.1% and 5% is set. According to the results of musculoskeletal disorders in the leg with age and musculoskeletal disorders in the back with the awareness of farmers and musculoskeletal disorders of the neck, shoulders, back, and waist there is a significant correlation with disease(p<0.05). As well as between disorders in the neck, shoulder, back, waist, knees and legs with a history of significant occupational accident (p<0.05).

Conclusion: Due to the high prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders among farmers, it is necessary ergonomic intervention; tool design and stretch at regular intervals, promotion of farmers in the form of professional health education programs are followed.
